_About

Andreas Erd is an austrian guitarist, composer and guitar teacher based in Vienna, Austria. He is currently writing, producing, recording and mixing for his trio HAARP as well as his solo project.
he is also a member of the prog-jazz group Origina1Nerd, Christoph Cech’s Jazz Orchestra Project and Nouvelle Cuisine Big Band.
Around 2021 Andreas became interested in music production. He produced and mixed a few songs for Origina1Nerd, Pia Denz and the whole first EP of his trio HAARP.
Additionally, he worked and played with artists such as Martin Valihora, Juraj Griglak, David Hodek, Michal Wierzgon, Martin Kocian, Jeff Bodreaux, Hubert Tubbs, Rafael Trujillo and Abel Maton Nagy.
Erd currently teaches electric guitar at the three state music schools in Upper Austria.He studied jazz guitar and pedagogy at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria and completed the Bachelor of Arts studies in 2018. Some of his teachers and tutors include Peter O’Mara, Martin Koller, Peter Herbert, Christoph Cech, among others.
Especially throughout his formative years, Erd attended numerous workshops and masterclasses with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Greg Howe, Steve Vai and Aydin Esen.In 2012, Andreas has been rewarded with the Robert Johnson Guitar Award in Hamburg, Germany.
